Permanent Lips Before & Aftercare

Follow all Page 1 instructions, from permanent Cosmetics Pre Care...

You will want to start a gentle lip scrub once a day for 3 days before your procedure so that your lips are prepped and don't have a rough texture. This will prevent proper pigment saturation and promote the best healed results. Do not over scrub to the point that you have raw or compromised skin.

Use moisturizer often on your lips in the days prior to the procedure to maintain smooth texture.

Avoid lip filler injections 4 weeks before and after your procedure.

No tanning or excessive sun exposure 2 weeks prior and post procedure.

You must discontinue the use of Accutane medication 6 months prior to procedure.

Avoid scheduling your appointment 10-14 days before an upcoming event or travel to ensure the best healing results.

VERY IMPORTANT:

If you have a history of cold sores - you'll need to start taking an antiviral prescription (Valacyclovir, Denavir (penciclovir), Valtrex or acyclovir (Zovirax), at least 1 week BEFORE your proposed procedure.

Cold sore outbreaks are often triggered by stress or trauma to the lips and skin. Therefore if you are a carrier, lip blushing will likely cause an outbreak if you do not take an antiviral medication prior.

Your appointment WILL be cancelled if you have had a history of cold sores and do not follow this instruction (with cancellation fees). This is because cold sores will affect the healing and the results and can even lead to scarring. So please do not skip this step, you will be happy you didn't and have better results.

If you are nervous, consider bringing headphones and music. Numbing will be used during the whole procedure to keep you as comfortable as possible.
